Natalie Cole! Wow, "This Will Be" is such a phenomenal song, and her vocals are out of this world! As you probably know, her Dad was Nat King Cole. I have a new appreciation for Natalie Cole, and this is now in my go-to list for songs when I want to dance and get my day going. In doing some research on this song, I see that she recorded it as a single in 1975. It was written by Chuck Jackson and Marvin Yancy. As you probably know, the words "an everlasting love" became a natural addition to the song title, even though they were never in the actual title of: "This Will Be." From this single, Natalie won the Grammy for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, in this space that had been dominated by Aretha Franklin. This song also helped Natalie win the Grammy for Best New Artist. I couldn't find a good picture of the single, so I'll use a different picture here, to celebrate the one and only: Natalie Cole! #randb #pop #motown #soul #capitolrecords #nataliecole #natkingcole #popcharts #thiswillbe Thank you, thank you, ~~ Adam Chiocca ~~ [post for today, day 11 for my 2nd book, on this, my 2nd book tour, 1/11/21]
Hi, Is anyone reading this...? Really...? (crickets...) You see... I don't mean to sound so lame, but I'm torn. I feel like I'm supposed to contribute to the educational blogosphere, and yet I have three followers. Please... cue giggle (Yes, I want you to smile and giggle). I had these ideal thoughts about what it may be like to blog and learn from others online, and yet - I feel quite unimportant in the grand scheme of things. Yes, there must be 2 billion blogs out there, and everyone is pretty busy with life, so should I continue to blog? Please - somebody leave a comment...! And say, Yes, Mr. Chiocca, please contribute. Education and the future of public education depends on people like you, who care and want our kids to learn as much as they can in each grade level. Thanks for reading! Mr. Chiocca
